Meet Our Editor-in-Chief

Sadaf Nasir


Department of Radiology, Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan

Dr. Sadaf Nasir is a distinguished Associate Professor of Radiology and the Section Head of the Women Imaging Unit at Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She recently have received letter of eligibility to be appointed as Professor of Radiology by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Her dedication to education is evident through her active involvement in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students along with her oversight of clinical and administrative functions within the radiology department. She is also a CPSP accredited supervisor of FCPS training.

Dr. Nasir recently completed a Mini-Fellowship in Breast Imaging in Singapore (2024) and, is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health Professional Education at Dow University.

Her leadership credentials are extensive, having served as Associate Editor for the Journal

of Liaquat National Hospital and, as Editor-in-Chief of the National Radiology Journal of Pakistan. She is also a respected reviewer for various prominent medical journals.

Her professional engagement extends to numerous roles within the Radiological Society of Pakistan since 2017, where her elected positions reflect her commitment to advancing the field of radiology. Additionally, she has co-chaired the Scientific Committee of the society’s annual radiology conference twice, collaborating closely with the Royal College of Radiology. Dr. Nasir is also a core member of the team responsible for establishing and conducting the FRCR examination in Pakistan. She is also one of the founding members of the National Breast Radiological Society of Pakistan (NBRSP). Dr. Nasir has authored over 32 articles in reputable national and international journals. She has been actively involved in organizing and speaking at major Radiology conferences and has conducted various hands-on workshops. In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Nasir is passionate about breast cancer awareness and conducts outreach initiatives. She also serves as a trustee for the Pink Pakistan Trust, a nonprofit organization focused on women’s health and empowerment.

With her vast expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence, Dr. Nasir is a central figure in radiology, inspiring

her colleagues and students alike.
