Over the past few decades, Radiology has come to occupy a key, pivotal position in medical and surgical practice. It now plays a crucial role, not only in establishing a diagnosis but also in determining the severity of the disease and planning its treatment. It is also a prime tool for evaluating outcomes and monitoring patient and disease progression.

As medical technology advances, radiology will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, bringing innovations that integrate artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced imaging modalities.

This is the fourth journal that Liaquat National Hospital has engendered. Through it, we will seek to promote inclusivity and interdisciplinary dialogue, foster collaboration, and encourage a vigorous and vibrant intellectual discourse on topics of interest to the radiological community.

The journal will provide a platform where radiologists from across the country and abroad can showcase their work and exchange experiences and ideas to enhance the quality of patient care. High-quality research articles, reviews, and case studies will provide material that will help readers meet current challenges in clinical practice and determine future directions for the specialty.

In its commitment to excellence, the journal has assembled an editorial team of distinguished subject professionals and researchers. I am extremely grateful to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Sadaf Nasir, without whose dynamism and dedication this journal would not have been possible. I am also indebted to her editorial board whose expertise and guidance have ensured a publication of both quality and clinical relevance. I must also thank those many unsung members of the hospital’s publication department who worked tirelessly in the background to make this journal a reality.

I wish the journal every success in its future journey and hope that it plays an important role in charting the progress of the specialty of radiology in the coming years.
